Trekking and nature

We are at the end of the Sentiero degli Dei, the Path of the Gods!

In a dominant position at the top of Positano, sits the charming hamlet of Nocelle.

The particular location of Nocelle provides the possibility to be secluded, to see everything from above, and enjoy the silence and the tranquility of a place that seems to be suspended in time.

Above all it is ideal for those who love trekking and being surrounded by nature, given the immediate access to the worldfamous Sentiero degli Dei, the Path of the Gods.

The path

The Sentiero degli Dei, the Path of the Gods starts in Bomerano, a hamlet of Agerola, and after 3 hours of pleasant walking it ends right here, in Nocelle.

The estimated walking time varies of course depending on the walking pace and the number of stops to admire the breathtaking panorama.

Characteristics and legends

The Sentiero degli Dei, the Path of the Gods, known for its spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast, has become famous for its breathtaking panorama and lush Mediterranean scrub along the Lattari Mountains, with a view of the island of Capri.

The name of the path comes from a legend which tells the story of the passage of the Greek Gods to save Ulysses from the sirens, a theme also cited by Italo Calvino.

The beauty of the Path lies in its naturalness, preserved except for protective barriers along some points and well-maintained signage, to keep the trail as pristine as possible.
